This year everything is different. The holidays are also different than we’re used to with little partying and dining. But that doesn’t mean you can’t wear something beautiful.
Party or no party give yourself a BOOST put on something that will make you and your loved ones happy! Because the clothes you wear affect how you feel. Below you will find 3 tips to boost happiness and enjoy the festive season. I’m also giving you shopping tips from local designers.
1 / Light colors in winter
In winter, you may not think about wearing light colors. You quickly go for the ordinary gray, black and dark. The weather is gray and the days are dark so why wear dark colors too? Colors like off-white, beige and cream are very refreshing and original to wear. How about various shades in one look together? Or treat yourself to something new such as a fun top with fringes in off-white from Marcha that you can wear with nice basic pants such as dark jeans or Marlene Dietrich pants from Vanilia and heels.
MARCHA This top by Marcha can be ordered online. Use the special code: Festive-Carina and receive 10% discount on all items from Marcha except accessories and sale items and is valid until January 18, 2021.
2 / Wear colors
Colors make you feel happier and better. Studies have shown that there is definitely a link between colors and emotions.
When you don’t normally wear much color, start small. Just wear a small amount of color such as a colored camisole under your blouse. And how about one colored statement piece of jewelry such as a big colorful bracelet or necklace or many fine colored necklaces. Another simple way to add more color to your outfit is a beautiful silk or fluid scarf. Go for print. Such as a basic item with a floral design or colored stripe or other print. This way you give your outfit a cheerful twist.
And if you’re used to wearing colors already, just mix colors and make exciting combinations. Such as gray with red or (dark) bottle green with fuchsia. With a calm color such as gray and dark green you will see that a bright shade immediately makes your outfit more spicy. The contrast between these two colors is so strong that it creates a surprising outfit.

3 / A festive touch
You may think: you don’t want to dress up, because Christmas is celebrated in a very modest way this year. Still, it can be a lot of fun to get out of your comfy clothes and get into the festive holiday spirit. Dressing up makes you feel great despite the situation. Even a subtle change works wonders. So add a festive touch to your outfit!
Accessories such as beautiful high heels or large glittering earrings give a festive Christmas look to any simple outfit. Do something unusual and try something different. For example, curl or straighten your hair, paint your nails or use a different color lipstick.
Classic python leather pumps from Linja – ultimate comfortable high heels – can be ordered online in various other colors.
Go for something beautiful because you will not only make yourself happy, but probably everyone around you!
